ilurvemakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 00:04:10 I've always used my fingers to blend my liquid foundation then smooth it out using the sponge lightly. I don't really like foundation brushes, guess it depends on one's preference :) I really enjoyed this demo :) __________________________________________________
ItsAhBrushNotAhWand ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 01:21:18 Love your videos! What's your fav. foundation and what brand is your airbrush. __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 02:46:55 Very true! And like I said, what ever you use, it's practice that makes it perfect. Kudos to both blending and smoothing it out! I'm glad you enjoyed the demo. __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 02:51:58 Well, depends on the skin I'm working on. I use a variety. I use MAC matte mineralized skinfinish because it gives such flawless finish. I use Cinema Secrets for photo shoots and weddings. Its probably the most camera-friendly foundation ever. For airbrushing, I like Temptu S/B Foundations. I have 2 airbrushes. An IWATA HP-C, and and IWATA Eclipse CS. Both are amazing workshorses. __________________________________________________
ilurvemakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 14:33:26 Oh I'm glad this was brought up. I'm currently looking for a good matte foundation. I'm one of those unfortunate who can't use MAC foundations because it causes skin irritation :( Any suggestion besides MAC that you know of? I have a medium beige type of skin tone. I'm on the look ot for a HG matte foundation, any advice would be great. Thank you :) Looking forward to more of your vids, I'm enjoying them alot! __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-27 16:37:41 Your irritations can be caused by Micas, SPF, Titanium Dixide, or Squalene (not squalane). SO try to watch out for those in your HG hunt. Try Biotherm Matte Souffle or Sense Matte. Check out Armani Luminous Silk while youre at it. __________________________________________________
neverknowsbest17 ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 04:05:17 I use the 188 brush from the mac for foundation. it spreads like the 190 but lighter. do you know any contouring tricks for black people? Also, i don't know if you work for the mac or not, but they have this thing called charged water, would you suggest that for oily skin? __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 04:55:23 Thanks for the inquiry! I find myself using either 187 or 188 Stippling Brushes for liquid foundations as well. They give you a nice airbrushed look if you use it in a dotting manner. Charged water is limited edition, so don't get too married to it. It's great for any skin, and some have good essentials like Green Tea. __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 05:05:25 Contouring- use one shade darker than your natural tone and apply to the outer perimeters of your face, close to hairline, ear, jawline. You can contour under your cheekbones as well. Hi-lite your t-zone and your cheekbones with 1 or 2 shade lighter than your natural color. Make sure to blend and smooth out so that the foundation would look natural. __________________________________________________
neverknowsbest17 ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 11:47:03 but would you say it looks good on oily skin? or does it make you look even more oily? __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 15:15:45 It's basically just charged water used as a rehydrating refresher mist. It will not make you look oilier, but if you're already oily, I highly doubt you need rehydration. __________________________________________________
gracetre ::: Favorites 2007-08-28 20:32:59 Great!! prettylttlthings ::: Favorites 2007-08-29 11:49:52 Hi EnKore! I really love your videos. Keep it up! I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Armani foundation brushes. From what I've heard, it seems to be a big hit. __________________________________________________
EnKoreMakeup ::: Favorites 2007-08-29 14:53:23 I have a few Armani brushes, and yeah I find myself using them a lot. Just play with them when you visit a counter and buy what you think you'll use most. Whether an eyeshadow brush or foundation. That way you get the feel of using one. __________________________________________________
