Valsartdiary theme

Description: The theme music from ValsArtDiary ( http://www.youtube.com/valsartdiary ). My humble rendition, worked out by ear from listening to Val's videos. Long after making this video, I came to understand that the music I learned is a slower, simplified version of the coda of "La Catedral III" by Barrios. I have heard the actual piece played by an expert now (e.g., http://youtube.com/watch?v=8YcrGUkdD1I ), so yes, I am quite aware that the song I learned from does no justice to the complexity and brilliance of the original work. So before you insist on telling me how awful my Barrios rendition is, realize that I wasn't even aware of the Barrios original, much less trying to play it. I only wanted to learn and play the music from ValsArtDiary, and I think this is not terribly far off from THAT piece of music, both in pacing and in note selection. (One difference is that mine is on a steel string rather than nylon string ... but hey, the former is all that I have. If you can't bear to hear it on steel strings, then just don't listen to it.) - David

richagen ::: Favorites i dont like the other version...the slower one is much better..alot less complicated ..but its got more feel to it in my opinion..shrug..my 2 cents. you should tab that out for us ear impaird guitar players.. mysticfm ::: Favorites I've at last verified that this music is the coda of "La Catedral III", composed by Augustin Barrios. Well, kind of ... the guy who originally played it on Val's theme track didn't really nail the original either, so I ended up copying his mistakes and omissions.
