Many people who have an abortion are doing it because they want to avoid the "inconvenience" (for lack of better word) of having a child with some guy/girl they don't know well but just had a one-night stand with. It is a survival need overcoming the reproduction need, because they know they can just have another baby, and they don't want to have their lives ruined.
