Description: This clip comes from Dragon Ball Z episode 086: "Bitter Regret...!! The Proud Saiyan Vegeta Dies" Vegeta dies after having his heart pierced by one of Freeza's beams. Before dying, Vegeta begs Goku to act like a proud Saiyan and defeat Freeza. The footage comes from the Japanese DVD Dragon Box set, which is fully remastered. The subtitles were added by me, though translated faithfully by Steven J. Simmons. This clip is to demonstrate how vastly different the FUNimation dub's script is from the original. |

Goku's original VA is really good, and I love her as both dr.Kureha and kid Goku. yet as Goku is married, has two sons, a granddaughter and has died twice the fact that his voice has barely changed from when he was just a kid bothers me. Vegeta never really cared that his father was killed. Nor was he feeling pity that his race was killed. To the very last moment, Vegeta wanted Freeza to die at the hands of a Saiyan. So that Freeza's pride would be thrashed as badly as those of the Saiyans. And since when do all men have deep voices? __________________________________________________ | |
