SadieDammit ::: Favorites I think that Peter deserves his celebrity status for many reasons, not the least of which being his ability to record and upload video using a computer and YouTube's glitchy system. Many people his age still say "hello? Hello?" when the answering machine comes on. His willingness to keep up with today's technology is amazing. Add his willingness to jump in the YouTube pool and let his voice be heard- and ...well it doesn't just end there. Urgelt ::: Favorites 'tubers are banal. But there's more to the story. Geriatric1927 is genuine. After more than a century of media hyping celebrities of steadily decreasing verisimilitude, some people are hungry for that. The Guardian missed it. And sometimes, rarely, a 'tuber rises above banal and produces art. The Guardian missed that, too. But it's not worth emoting over. Who cares if they "get it?" politichick ::: Favorites I agree, Dave - some of the response to the Guardian thing has been over the top. I also agree that nobody should tell Paris/P Diddy, etc., that they can't be here, but I'm sure as heck not watching them.
